Irene Hu is a 21th-generation lineage holder in Chen Family Taijiquan and a Principal Taijiquan and Qigong Instructor certified by American Chen Taiji Society and by Qingzhou Taiji Institute in Wenxian, Henan Province, China, the birthplace of Chen Taijiquan.
Irene received most of her Taijiquan training from Sifu Tony Wong (Wong Wai Yi 黃偉兒), 20th-generation Renowned Master and indoor disciple of the late Grandmaster Chen QingZhou (陈庆州) of Chen Family Taijiquan Zungu lineage (尊古, “Reverence for the Ancient”). In addition to Sifu Tony, Irene also trained with other masters from the Chen Village, such as Grandmaster Chen Xiaowong (陈小旺), Master Chen Youze (陈有则), Master Chen Youhua (陈有华) and Master Chen Bing (陈炳).
Irene is a gold medalist in Taiji fist forms, jian and dao. She has been invited to perform at various local community activities. She is coach for award-winning group competitions. Their Group jian performance was featured at Tiger Claw Kung Fu Tai Chi Day in 2016.
Irene has been a Chen Style Taijiquan and Qigong instructor since 2014 and continues to develop her knowledge and understanding of the art with fellow seekers.
